Nathan Clark, Founder
Fundraising, Marketing, & Organizational Strategy
Nathan brings to Synnovate Group 19 years of leadership experience in fundraising, marketing, communications and management. Nathan has nonprofit experience with the National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome and United Way of Salt Lake. He spent 10 years working at his alma mater, Weber State University, where he gained his true passion to fully pursue a career in philanthropy. As a senior development officer, he helped WSU build and manage a fully functional annual giving program, strategically align alumni relations with development, launch state alumni chapters, and manage multiple volunteer boards. He was a key member of the development team helping WSU raise $164 million, its largest campaign ever. Nathan has first-hand experience in principal and major gifts, annual giving, telemarketing, grant writing, moves management, donor recognition societies, and managing planned giving and development operations. Nathan has presented on topics at CASE, the Boy Scouts of America, and other organizations. He is on the Board of Directors for the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Utah Chapter. Nathan has a BA in Communications/Public Relations and an MBA from Weber State University. Each consulting experience is a new learning experience for him and a privileged opportunity to advance selfless giving, caring and generosity in our world today.

Chuck Sizemore
Fundraising, Campaign & Board Strategy
Chuck is a proven professional with 38 years experience in higher education and consulting. He has serviced more than 100 colleges, universities, and organizations through consulting and has helped raise multi-millions through his coaching, training and campaign strategies. He brings to Synnovate Group years of senior consulting experience and guidance in research, directing, and managing campaigns for public and private educational institutions, healthcare, religious, and social services organizations all over the US. He has a BA from Yale University, where his development career began in 1979. From there he worked in several different fundraising capacities at Stanford University Graduate School of Business and at Santa Clara University. He was involved with Stanford’s $1.1 billion Centennial Campaign, and guided Santa Clara’s $125 million comprehensive campaign. For 10 years, Chuck served as a senior consultant for Marts & Lundy, Inc. and twice served on their board of directors.

Stacy Russell-Harker
Fundraising, Annual Giving & Board Strategy
Stacy brings to Synnovate Group a strong nonprofit, higher education, and consulting background. With more than 16 years experience in small and large organizations including KUED (UT), Historic Genesee Theatre (IL), The Alford Group, Thunderbird International School of Business, The Family Room of Evanston (IL) and the Alford Group Executive Search. Stacy understands the identification of donor pipelines and the strategic, yet artful process to acquire donors. She has conducted annual appeals, campaign management, board management, moves management, strategic planning and consulting serving multiple clients in the Chicago region including The Museum of Science and Industry, UNICEP, The Chicago Metropolitan Division of The Salvation Army, Bethel New Life, and the Girl Scouts of Central Illinois. Stacy’s national experience, personal resilience, and passion to help her clients are an asset to our team. Stacy has a BA in Political Science from Brigham Young University.


Cody Craynor
Research & Communication Strategy
Cody is a gifted researcher and communicator. He brings to Synnovate Group a thorough and thoughtful research process helping understand the core attitudes, opinions, beliefs, and behaviors of key audiences and constituencies. This discovered knowledge builds the foundation for effective communication strategy, campaign goals and expectations. Cody has more than 17 years of professional experience in both the public and private sectors in public relations, media relations, internal communication, marketing, communication training and research. Cody received Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America (2008) and has won multiple professional awards for his work. Cody is an adjunct professor in the School of Communication at Brigham Young University where he teaches research methods and directs the work of student research teams serving various clients. Cody has had a variety of roles in communication with corporate and non-profit entities and is actively involved in the community. He has a BA in Communications/Public Relations from Weber State University and is finishing an MA in Applied Communication Research from John Hopkins University.


David Macmillan
Fundraising & Marketing Strategy
After 40 years in higher education, David Macmillan joined the Synnovate Group team and brings with him a wealth of internal higher education experience. David served for 25 years at the University of San Francisco, first as Vice President for Advancement and then Vice President for Marketing Communications. He directed two highly successful comprehensive fundraising campaigns at USF bringing in a combined total of $267 million. David has also served as Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid and then Vice President for Development at Gordon College in Massachusetts. He has consulting experience in fundraising, campaigns and marketing strategy, administrative support, and website content management. David has a BA from Wheaton College, Illinois and an MS from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.


Becky Wright
Writing, Editing, & Storytelling

Becky has 15 years experience in journalism and educational writing. She has won writing awards from the Utah Press Association and the Society of Professional Journalists. As a newspaper beat writer for education, Becky has extensive experience in education from an elementary level all the way up to the university level. She has been a researcher, outreach coordinator, and fundraiser generating corporate sponsors and other organizations to support a variety of community programs. She has served on community and state boards in education and reading. She brings rich writing and editing experience to the Synnovate Group team with her passionate pursuit to discover and share compelling stories. She has a BA in Elementary Education & Teaching from Weber State University.


Jeremy Harvey
Web/Print Marketing & Graphic Design
Jeremy is a highly skilled web developer, online and print marketer, and graphic designer. He brings to Synnovate Group 15 years of experience and professional work on projects with Disney, Wolfgang Puck, Intermountain Healthcare, and Weber State University. He has extensive experience in project fulfillment from the first step of the process to the last. He produces full service websites; email marketing campaigns, social media campaigns, direct mail campaigns, video productions, brochures, billboards, magazine/newspaper advertisements, product packaging, window wraps, and more. He is an advanced user of Adobe Creative Cloud applications and currently teaches classes in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Dreamweaver. He is proven in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Jquery and other web coding architectures. Jeremy’s broad experience in marketing and advertising for small local businesses to large-scale international corporations proves the value of his talent and ability to adapt to a client’s needs. His talents support Synnovate Group’s marketing and communication strategies and he can offer training and interim support to internal marketing, web, and graphic design teams. Jeremy has a BS in Communication/Public Relations & Advertising from Weber State University.


Natalie Martin
Grants, Proposals, Writing & Editing
Natalie is compelled to write. She has technical writing experience in fundraising and marketing for higher education and business. She has written and submitted grants, proposals, and agreements for Weber State University’s development office. In addition, she has managed writing, editing, and managing website content and layout for private corporations. She has coding experience with CSS, XML, and HTML. Natalie has a proven track record of project management in communications and supports the Synnovate Group’s team with technical writing, editing, and content management. She is a key consultant in supporting grant strategies, researching, writing applications, and proposals to private foundations and government.


Issac Goeckeritz
Multi-Media Services & Film
As a filmmaker, Issac records to inspire. With this remarkable gift, Issac has produced Emmy Award winning PBS Television documentaries and received Best of State awards in 2008 and 2009. He has produced a variety of other media for commercial corporations, humanitarian agencies, nonprofits, and educational institutions worldwide. Some of these include PBS, KUED, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eide Bailly, World Congress on Families, Utah State University, LDS Business College and Weber State University. Issac finds and examines stories of the human spirit capturing feeling, emotion, and passion. His talented work supports Synnovate Group’s efforts to share compelling stories in digital format. He supports marketing and communication strategies for businesses, educational institutions, and nonprofits needing to communicate their story and causes. He methodically crafts short to long documentaries, personal interviews, compelling testimonials, and rich histories impacting both internal and external audiences. Issac has supported universities and alumni groups with documentaries, personal interviews, and short stories for recognition events. Issac has a BA in Geography from Weber State University.
